Since I announced the Day of Prayer in response to the foolish attempt to magically bind Donald Trump we have received an unexpected amount of media attention. A fluff piece from Buzzfeed positioned itself in support of the masses dabbling in the occult. An act which is incredibly dangerous for the young and vulnerable. Buzzfeed did reach out for an official comment, which I am not interested in:

Beyond that we have received a lot of questions from Christians and non-believers alike. I would like to address a few of them here:
Witchcraft is not real.
“Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God. – Leviticus 19:31
“When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you.” – Deuteronomy 19:8-12
“But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” – Revelation 21:8
“Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.” – Revelation 22:15
“And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” – 2 Corinthians 11:14
There are dozens of others. The Holy Bible, Old and New Testament, devotes a lot of time and instruction to witchcraft and for good reason. The Devil has limited power on this Earth and he can and does lend some of that to his followers for a hefty price.
But for the sake of argument let’s say that witchcraft holds no supernatural worth at all. It is indisputable that the act carries great risk to the occultist personally. Demonic possession is on the rise in large part due to the easy access that young people have to the occult and Satanic literature. This “binding” is perhaps the best example of how the internet aids the mass spread of occultic knowledge as people who have never thought about “spell casting” before are now preparing to partake in a ritual that they learned about on Twitter.
It’s just a harmless binding spell.
Many of the “witches” in this scenario find this to be an amusing act of rebellion. One comment on this site said that it’s not curse but rather a binding spell to keep Trump from “doing harm”. The very notion of this defies the free will which God has given us. The “witches” should worry less about their karma and more about their mortal souls. The simple truth is all acts of occultism are dangerous as they open the occultist to spiritual risks.
Beyond that this binding carries a lot of political posturing that is typical upon the Left. Michael Hughes, who organized this blasphemous circus stated the following:
“The analogy I use is, it’s not punching a Nazi in the face, it’s tying a Nazi up, taking his bullhorn away, and smashing his phone so he can’t tweet,” Hughes said.
Which again proves that the Left is looking to silence dissent. They aren’t interested in a debate or a free exchange of ideas. They want to deprive you of your God given right to free will and your Constitutional right to free speech. Since they have failed politically they’re turning to magic.
Their desperation speaks for itself.
Prayer doesn’t work.
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” – 1 John 14-15
Any Christian who doubts the power of prayer needs to reread the Gospel. Our Lord Jesus Christ spoke openly about how if you ask you will receive. This is a matter which Bill Johnson addresses beautifully:
Beyond the supernatural nature of prayer it is an important act for Christians as a community. We come from all races and all backgrounds with a multitude of motivations and aspirations. Those differences are cast aside when we bend our knees together to the Lord. We become one through the Word and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Through prayer we learn a lot about God, about each other and about ourselves.
We are praying for many things.
I will be releasing my prayer late this evening. People are invited to use it, modify it or to pray whatever they feel pertinent tomorrow night. In my prayer I will be asking God to protect our President, to nurture and heal our nation and most importantly: to protect the vulnerable souls who are invoking evil spirits tonight.
I will be praying for Christ’s victory and the coming of His Kingdom.
